HPI designers were given the exceptionally hard task to improve the already easy and fun to drive, highly competitive Sprint E.P. The target was to make it faster on the race track and at the same time make it easier to drive and easier to set up.
The result is a new redesigned chassis and a lot of new race proven features. The chassis plate and the upper deck have been reinforced making the Sprint 2 almost indestructable. The new chassis design with it’s controlled flexibility gives the Sprint 2 great handling.
To make it faster and to improve the adjustability the Sprint 2 now has a lot of racing features you wouldn’t expect from a beginners car. All features are listed below in great detail. All together the Sprint 2 is a great rock solid car for all beginners. Just run the car straight out of the box and enjoy the great handling and the awesome performance. But if you want to compete on a race track all the options are included to fine tune your Sprint 2 and to set it up for some really fast lap times. Low centre of gravity.
Tough and durable! With a big foam front bumper, a reinforced chassis and upper deck and reinforced shock towers, you’ll see that the Sprint 2 can take the abuse of racing on the track and on the street! All important chassis and suspension parts are made from high quality, high impact nylon which makes the Sprint 2 almost indestructible! The fully ball raced, dual belt, 4 wheel drive transmission with only one geared step (48dpi motor pinion to spur gear) is very efficient and is capable of high power modified electric motors (up to 10 turns).
With sealed gear differentials front and rear, you never have to worry about time-intensive diff rebuilds on your Sprint 2. The strong and flexible HPI polycarbonate body shell resists cracking and other damage! 8 rubber sealed ball bearings at the wheel axels and 6 more ball bearings at all other axels don’t wear out like metal or plastic bushings and provide lower friction and more speed.
The Sprint 2 has got all the racing features you need for a perfect set up on almost every race track.
The “out of the box” settings will give you a great handling on almost every surface but with the fully adjustable suspension, you have control over all important settings including camber, toe in, ride height, Ackerman, springs etc. – fine tune your lap times!
When you’re ready, it will be very easy to hop up your Sprint 2. Install a new body shell from HPI’s great bodyshell range, get some cool HPI wheels with high traction tyres or one of the Sprint 2 option parts! HPI bodyshells
All HPI 190mm Touring car bodyshells will fit perfectly on the Sprint 2 chassis. The adjustable body posts can easily be set to the correct height for all body shells. All cutting lines and body post positions are marked on the bodyshell for a perfect fit. The enclosed pre-cut decal sheet gives it the realistic look!
